The Asics GT 2160 is a stability shoe - Stability shoes are for runners who mildly overponate (feet turning inward) and need extra support though the heel, midsole and post areas. Stability shoes will help reduce overpronation, which causes excessive foot motion and increases your risk of injury.

Okay, so I have used Asics for years. I am a jogger/walker and have been working on increasing my distance for a few months. Was wondering if this style of Asics would be better than the previous ones. I have for many years used Asics and have been pretty satisfied. Anyway, I would say that the 2160's rate about the same as the 2150's that I had used previously. I try to order them when they are on clearance and usually when you wait, you don't have a lot of choices on the color that is avaliable, but I have to say, these ones are very stylish and a fun color combination as well. I did follow the suggestion of ordering a 1/2 size larger and was a little worried that they might be too large, but in all honesty, they are larger than the ones I had before, but not so big that they are sloppy or uncomfortable and if I had ordered my normal size, they would probably had been too small. So I give them 4 star rating.
